A local nonprofit animal shelter supported by volunteers, grants and community members is giving some of Fayetteville’s furry friends a much-needed safe haven. Whether you’re an animal lover, in the market for a new pet or are looking for service opportunities, check out what this heartwarming nonprofit organization does here in our community and how you can get involved.
The Fayetteville Animal Protection Society strides to provide a licensed, no-kill shelter for homeless animals until they are taken into a loving and caring environment by a new family through adoption. FAPS main goal is to reduce the population of stray animals on the streets and encourage responsible pet ownership with Fayetteville individuals and their families.
Adoption is an amazing way to do your part in saving an animals life, not to mention you’ll gain a best friend or new family member! All of FAPS fees include spay/neuter, a registered microchip, full vaccinations and any other needed medical care. Additionally, donations come in all forms – financial investment; providing food, toys, bedding and more; and volunteering time are all great ways to give back.
