Kids In Sports is joining the retail, dining and cinema destination, which is located at 1916 Skibo Rd. The specialized educational franchise that teaches children ages 12 months to 12 years sports fundamentals in a safe, fun, friendly and supportive environment, is opening it’s first North Carolina location in our Fayetteville shopping plaza in the fall of 2016.
Kids In Sports aims to make a difference in local communities and future generations by helping youth develop skills that lead to long-term success in life. The company offers multi-sport or sport-specific classes in baseball, basketball, football, floor hockey, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and more, as well as a preschool and after school programs. All classes are designed to offer a combined learning experience that engages the child’s mind as well as their bodies. During summer and holiday breaks throughout the year, Kids In Sports also hosts weekly camps, parties and picnics.
“We are ecstatic that North Carolina’s first Kids In Sports location will be opening at Marketfair shopping center,” said Sonji Clyburn, franchise owner of the local Kids In Sports. “As an Army veteran and Fayetteville native, it’s an honor to bring this educational youth sports program to the community and serve as a building block for young athletes by coaching them on sportsmanship, teamwork, respect and communication. Founders Michael Strutt and Kenneth Colon are extremely passionate about this new location, and we all can’t wait to share our fun and innovative concept with kids in the area.”
This new shopping center addition joins anchors Carmike Cinemas, Gander Mountain and H.H. Gregg, as well as Planet Fitness, Mikoto Japanese Express, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop, Ruby Nails, Lumber Liquidators, Pioneer Services and The Air Force Recruiting.
“We’re proud to help introduce such a positive youth-oriented program to the Fayetteville community,” said Dusty Wiederhold, founding principal at WSB Retail Partners. “Kids In Sports is a perfect addition to the centrally-located lifestyle destination and we are extremely excited to welcome them to the Marketfair shopping center family.”
