Trunk or Treat with Marketfair

Head over to Marketfair shopping center on Saturday, Oct. 28 to get a head start on your Halloween candy collection! We’re hosting a “Trunk or Treat” event for the Fayetteville community the Saturday before Halloween from 5 to 7:30 p.m., and you won’t want to miss it! Local favorite shops Good Living Coffee Zone, Rocket Fizz and Kids in Sports will also be taking part in the skele-fun!

The three best decorated cars will receive a special prize at the end of the event, and we’ll have other wicked awesome activities including Pumpkin Ball, Cupcake Walk and Ghost Bowling. Marketfair Spotlight: Kids in Sports

As the kids are heading back to school, it’s important to make sure they stay active. Get your kids up and moving after the classroom with our tenant Kids in Sports! This is the perfect community spot here in Fayetteville to get your kids involved in an activity where they will learn important life skills like sportsmanship and teamwork while having fun.

You don’t have to choose just one sport – Kids in Sports offers multi-sport classes which combine baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, football and floor hockey. These classes are specially designed to be broken into appropriate age groups and use a combination of small and large group activities to teach the needed skills for each sport. There’s no room for boredom at Kids in Sports!

Overall, Kids in Sports seeks to teach its athletes benefits that go beyond the game. In addition to inspiring athletes to live a healthy lifestyle, the classes teach life and socialization skills that improve self-esteem, emotional stability and encourage kids to live with respect for others.

You can register online for Fall Sport Classes at any time! Classes begin Sept. 5, but registration stays open throughout the season so you can join in on the fun at any time. Opening this Month: Kids In Sports

Don’t miss the grand opening of North Carolina’s first Kids In Sports location, right here at Marketfair shopping center! A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tomorrow and the official grand opening is this Saturday, Sept. 17.

Kids In Sports teaches children ages 12 months to 12 years sports fundamentals in a safe, fun, friendly and supportive environment. The educational youth sports program aims to make a difference in the community and future generations by helping youth develop those type of skills that lead to long-term success in life.

All of its multi-sport or sport-specific classes are designed to offer a combined learning experience that engages a child’s mind as well as their bodies – meaning youth of all ages in the Fayetteville community will be able to develop not only athletic abilities, but also everyday skills such as respect and communication.

No matter if your child is just starting to learn a new sport or looking to develop their competitive skills further, there is a Kids In Sports program for children of all ages and levels. Stay in the loop on Kids In Sports updates and more new business coming to the plaza here!

Announcing Our Newest Tenant

Kids In Sports is joining the retail, dining and cinema destination, which is located at 1916 Skibo Rd. The specialized educational franchise that teaches children ages 12 months to 12 years sports fundamentals in a safe, fun, friendly and supportive environment, is opening it’s first North Carolina location in our Fayetteville shopping plaza in the fall of 2016.

Kids In Sports aims to make a difference in local communities and future generations by helping youth develop skills that lead to long-term success in life. The company offers multi-sport or sport-specific classes in baseball, basketball, football, floor hockey, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball and more, as well as a preschool and after school programs. All classes are designed to offer a combined learning experience that engages the child’s mind as well as their bodies. During summer and holiday breaks throughout the year, Kids In Sports also hosts weekly camps, parties and picnics.

“We are ecstatic that North Carolina’s first Kids In Sports location will be opening at Marketfair shopping center,” said Sonji Clyburn, franchise owner of the local Kids In Sports. “As an Army veteran and Fayetteville native, it’s an honor to bring this educational youth sports program to the community and serve as a building block for young athletes by coaching them on sportsmanship, teamwork, respect and communication. This new shopping center addition joins anchors Carmike Cinemas, Gander Mountain and H.H. Gregg, as well as Planet Fitness, Mikoto Japanese Express, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop, Ruby Nails, Lumber Liquidators, Pioneer Services and The Air Force Recruiting.
